Feed the Birds!
This week our nature club has been making bird cakes out of fat, nuts and seeds. The birds have been having a hard time of it lately and some are starving due to the frozen weather. We hope that our fat balls and fat cakes will help give the birds energy so that they can survive the winter. everyone took a fat ball home and we have hung several up in our school garden. We hope that they will attract some birds ready for the RSPB great garden birdwatch which is coming up at the end of the month.

Heart Smart UK
Year 6 have all taken part in a First aid day at school. Mr Banks, a qualified first aider came to school to teach us how to carry out CPR. During the first lesson we learnt all about different injuries and how a human body works, while the second session was spent learning how to carry our CPR using the dummies which are called Annie's. Thank you to Mr Banks, and we all hope that we can now help if we are unfortunate enough to come accross an accident.
